How long have you worked here?

I have been working at Heritage since May of 2015.

What do you like most about your job?

I enjoy being able to share life with the individuals that I support. Every day is a new adventure. I also love the close relationships that I have had the opportunity to build.

What does a typical day look like for you?

A typical day on the job is rarely the same and rather diverse. Some of the things I spend time doing consist of going to the YMCA, swimming, playing basketball, hiking, fishing, volunteering  in the community, grocery shopping, planning and cooking meals, going to museums and attending festivals.

Will you describe one of your best days?

One of my best days at Heritage was the day an individual I support got his permit. We spent months studying and reviewing the driver’s manual. Not only did it bring me joy being a part of this accomplishment but it was forever rewarding seeing his reaction to his accomplishment.

What is something that surprised you about working here?

Something that surprised me about working at Heritage was the amount of fun I have while working. Sometimes I find it hard to believe that the things I do from day to day are considered work.

Do you have a personal passion or talent that you are able to share at work?

I enjoy adventure and the outdoors, hiking and fishing. I have had the opportunity to share this passion with many of the individuals that I support.
