As an employee of a not-for-profit organization like Heritage Christian Services, you may be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time for a qualifying employer.

Other loan forgiveness opportunities include the NYS Get on Your Feet Loan Forgiveness Program. This program provides up to 24 months of federal student loan debt relief to recent NYS college graduates who are participating in a federal income-driven repayment plan whose payments are generally capped at 10 percent of their discretionary income.
